Macklemore

This guy is amazing. I've been hearing his name for a long time but never stopped to give it a listen. I think I'll start paying attention. 206 represent.

A pretty emotional song about drug use/abuse/addiction (namely the whole cough syrup craze) that feels extremely appropriate given my last post and all the talk about Weezy's cup. He even references him a couple times.
Listen: The Otherside
And if you're too lazy to click- listen to an equally amazing song here:

The Carter

Been waiting on this for a while.

Nov. 17th. Can't wait.

Fifty years ago Robert Frank captured his view of the post‐war, industrial American life. His series, entitled “The Americans,” consists of 83 images selected and sequenced from over 770 rolls of film, shot while traveling across the country over a two‐year period. Frank’s photographs explored the dimensions and depth of American “identity,” and continue to resonate today.

Half a century after his collection was published, this landmark series serves as a point of departure for seven photographic journeys. Each artist provides a unique and personal exploration of their place in modern America. Join UCLA Extension's Exploring The Americans opening reception on Saturday, November 7th from 12‐3 PM; 1010 Westwood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA; 4th floor gallery. Show runs through November 14.
